The BONEHAM CB00001125 is a headless, press fit drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Classified under industry code P, this bushing features a 0.272 inch inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, a 7/16 inch body outside diameter, and a 1 inch overall length. Machined from steel, it provides durable bore guidance under repeated drilling cycles. It is installed without fasteners, relying on an interference press fit to seat securely in a drill jig plate. Machinists and toolmakers specify this bushing type where a flush, unobstructed surface is required above the workpiece.
This drill bushing is suited for use in production and toolroom environments where consistent hole location accuracy is critical. Typical applications include drilling, reaming, and countersinking operations performed with a drill jig. The headless profile keeps the bushing flush with the jig plate surface, making it appropriate for setups where a headed bushing flange would interfere with the workpiece or clamping fixtures. It is a fixed, non-renewable bushing intended for permanent installation in the jig body.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or original-specification drill bushing for jig plates and fixture bodies requiring a headless press fit bushing with a 0.272 inch bore and 7/16 inch outside diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an arbor press or hydraulic press to drive the bushing into a precision-reamed hole in the jig plate. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance to ensure the bushing seats without distorting the inside diameter. Do not use impact tools to drive the bushing, as this can damage the bore or alter the inside diameter tolerance. Once pressed in, the bushing is not intended for removal or reuse.
