The BONEHAM CB00001077 is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Conforming to ANSI standards and manufactured from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing delivers the wear resistance required for accurate, repeatable hole location in production drilling operations. With a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) inside diameter and a 5/16 inch body outside diameter, it seats flush and headless into the fixture plate, keeping the working surface clear. Overall length is 1 inch. Installation is by press fit, requiring no locking components. This bushing is installed by machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians working with drill jigs.
The CB00001077 suits production and maintenance environments where consistent hole placement is critical. It is appropriate for use in steel or aluminum fixture plates where a permanent, non-renewable bushing is acceptable. The headless design is preferred when the bushing must sit flush with or below the fixture surface, eliminating interference with the workpiece or drill jig assembly. Typical applications include repetitive drilling, reaming, and similar guided cutting operations in metalworking shops and manufacturing facilities.
Designed as an ANSI-standard press fit headless drill bushing (Industry Code P) for use in drill jigs and fixtures requiring a permanent, flush-mount bushing with a 3/16 inch bore.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool and die technicians using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing into a properly sized, toleranced hole in the fixture plate. The receiving hole in the fixture must be machined to the correct press fit tolerance to avoid bushing distortion or bore closure. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, replacement requires pressing out the existing bushing and inspecting the fixture bore before installing a new one. Always de-energize and lock out any associated machinery before performing fixture maintenance.
