The BONEHAM AM00001031 is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to the SF and SFM industry bushing codes, it features a 7.25 mm inside diameter with a close tolerance of +0.005 to +0.014 mm, a 12 mm body outside diameter, and a 20 mm length under the head. The bushing is machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, providing long service life in high-cycle jig and fixture applications. A counterbored head design allows the bushing to seat flush or recessed in the drill jig plate. Licensed machinists, tool and die makers, and precision manufacturing technicians are the primary installers.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and fixture plates wherever a renewable, slip-in guide is required. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed and locked in place for a dedicated drilling operation, then removed when the fixture is retooled or the bushing reaches end of life. Typical applications include production machining environments in aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking shops. The SF and SFM bushing codes conform to ANSI standards, making this part a direct fit in fixtures designed to those specifications.
Designed as an ANSI-compliant SF and SFM slip-fixed drill bushing for use in standard drill jig and fixture plates requiring a 12 mm body outside diameter and 7.25 mm inside diameter guide bore.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolmaker familiar with drill jig assembly. Ensure the fixture plate counterbore is clean and free of burrs before pressing or dropping in the bushing. The bushing should be removed and inspected or replaced whenever inside diameter wear exceeds the allowable tolerance for the tooling operation. Always de-energize or lock out any machine tool before servicing fixture components mounted on it.
