The BONEHAM AM00000942 is a slip-fixed drill bushing built to the SFM industry standard. It features an inside diameter of 4.75 mm, a body outside diameter of 10 mm, and a length under head of 20 mm. Slip-fixed bushings are used in jig and fixture applications where the bushing must be quickly inserted or removed without tooling during a drilling or reaming operation. The renewable design allows worn bushings to be replaced without scrapping the jig body, extending fixture service life. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and fixture builders are the primary installers of this component.
This bushing is suited for precision drilling, reaming, and boring operations in production and job-shop environments. The SFM bushing style is installed in a liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate, allowing fast changeover between operations on the same hole location. It is appropriate for light to medium-duty drilling fixtures in metalworking and fabrication settings where positional accuracy and repeatability are critical.
Designed as a standard SFM-series slip-fixed bushing for use with compatible SFM liner bushings in precision drill jigs and fixtures.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool-and-die professionals. The bushing is inserted by hand into a mating liner bushing already seated in the jig plate and is locked in position by rotating to engage the locking slot. Ensure the liner bushing bore and the mating surfaces are clean and free of burrs before installation. Always secure the jig plate firmly before beginning any drilling or reaming operation.
