The BONEHAM AM00000839 is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built from steel with a hardness of 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing resists wear under repeated tool cycling. The inside diameter measures 19.5 mm with a tolerance of +0.007 to +0.020 mm, providing close control over tool alignment. The counterbored head design allows the bushing to seat flush or below the jig plate surface. This part meets ANSI standards and is classified as a renewable bushing, meaning it can be replaced without disturbing the liner bushing pressed into the jig body. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and fixture plates across production machining environments, both in job shops and high-volume manufacturing settings. The SF and SFM industry code designation identifies it as a slip-fixed type, which locks in place during use and can be removed for replacement or tool changes without special equipment. The counterbored configuration makes it appropriate for applications where head clearance above the work surface must be minimized. The 25 mm length under head provides adequate guidance depth for standard drill jig plate thicknesses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-fit renewable drill bushing for use in drill jigs and fixture assemblies that accept SF and SFM series slip-fixed bushings per ANSI standards.
Installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with jig and fixture maintenance. Ensure the drill press or machining center is powered down and all motion has stopped before servicing the jig plate. The slip-fixed bushing seats into a compatible liner bushing and is held in position by a locking mechanism during cutting operations. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner, as this can damage the seating bore and compromise tool guidance accuracy.
