The BONEHAM AM00000530 is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision during machining and fabrication operations. Built to industry code PM, this bushing features a 3.5-inch inside diameter and is manufactured from steel for durability under repeated use. The headless design allows it to sit flush with the jig plate surface, making it well suited for applications where a protruding flange would interfere with workpiece clearance. It is a non-renewable type, meaning it is permanently pressed into the drill jig or fixture body. Machinists, toolmakers, and fabrication shops install this type of bushing when setting up drill jigs for consistent, repeatable hole placement.
This bushing is used in production drilling, reaming, and boring operations across metalworking environments. The press fit installation method locks the bushing firmly in place within the jig plate, reducing movement and maintaining positional accuracy across high-volume runs. At 0.625 inches in overall length and a 3.5-inch bore, it accommodates large-diameter tooling in heavy-duty fixture setups. Suitable for both manual drill press and CNC drilling applications where a permanent bushing solution is specified.
Designed as a PM-code press fit headless drill bushing for use in standard drill jigs and fixtures requiring a permanent, flush-mount bushing with a 3.5-inch inside diameter.
Installation is performed by pressing the bushing into a precision-bored hole in the jig plate using an arbor press or hydraulic press. The receiving hole in the jig must be machined to the appropriate interference fit tolerance before installation. Once pressed in, the bushing is not intended to be removed or replaced. Power down all associated drilling equipment and secure the fixture before installation or inspection work begins.
