The BONEHAM AM00000265 is a press fit headless drill bushing manufactured to HM industry code standards. It is designed to guide drill bits with precision during drilling operations on jigs and fixtures in machine shop and manufacturing environments. The bushing features a 7.5-inch inside diameter, a body outside diameter of approximately 0.472 inches (12.00 mm), and an overall length of approximately 0.787 inches (20.00 mm). Constructed from steel, this headless style bushing seats flush with the jig plate surface without a protruding flange, making it suited for applications where a low-profile installation is required. Licensed machinists and tooling technicians are the typical installers.
This bushing is applied in drill jig assemblies where repeatable hole location accuracy is critical. The press fit installation method means the bushing is driven directly into a prepared reamed hole in the jig body and held in place by interference fit, without the use of fasteners or locking hardware. It is appropriate for production drilling operations in metalworking, fabrication, and general machining environments. Because it is a non-renewable bushing, it is intended to remain permanently in place once installed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for standard HM-code drill jig applications requiring a press fit headless bushing with a 7.5-inch inside diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians using an arbor press or hydraulic press. The receiving hole in the jig plate must be reamed to the correct interference-fit tolerance before pressing the bushing into place. Once installed, the bushing should not be removed, as the non-renewable design is not intended for repeated extraction. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and power down any associated machinery before performing jig maintenance.
