The BONEHAM AM00000215 is a press fit headless drill bushing in the HM industry classification, manufactured from steel for use in precision drilling and machining operations. This bushing is designed to guide drill bits, reamers, and other cutting tools with consistent accuracy by providing a hardened, close-tolerance bore. With an inside diameter of 6.25 inches (specified as 6.2500 decimal inch), a body outside diameter of 12.00 mm, and an overall length of 10.00 mm, it is sized for jig plate applications where repeatable hole location is critical. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This headless drill bushing is intended for use in drill jigs and fixture plates in manufacturing, production machining, and toolroom environments. The HM industry code identifies it as a headless press fit type, meaning it is driven flush into the jig plate without a flange or head to interrupt the work surface. It is suited for applications where a smooth top surface on the fixture is required, and where the bushing is intended to remain fixed in place rather than be routinely replaced.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation drill bushing for steel jig plates and fixture assemblies requiring an HM-classification headless press fit bushing with a 6.2500 inch inside diameter.
Press fit drill bushings are installed by toolmakers or machinist trades using an arbor press or hydraulic press to drive the bushing flush into a precision-bored jig plate hole. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before installation. Do not hammer the bushing in directly without a proper pressing tool, as this can cause misalignment or damage to the bushing bore. Verify the inside diameter matches the intended cutting tool shank or drill body diameter before pressing.
