The BONEHAM AM00000166 is a press fit headless drill bushing in the HM industry series, manufactured from steel for use in precision drilling and machining operations. It features a 4.7-inch inside diameter, an 8.00 mm body outside diameter, and an 8.00 mm overall length. This bushing is pressed directly into a jig plate without a head or locking collar, seating flush with the plate surface. It is intended for applications where a permanent, low-profile bushing installation is required. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and production drilling operations are the primary users of this component.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig fixtures across light manufacturing, metalworking, and production machining environments. Its headless design makes it appropriate for installations where the bushing must sit flush or below the surface of the jig plate. It is a non-renewable type, meaning it is not designed for field replacement once pressed into the fixture. This part ships in a single-unit package and is available individually.
Designed as a press fit, headless HM-series drill bushing for use in standard drill jig fixtures where a permanent, flush-mount bushing installation is required.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolmaker using an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing flush into a prepared jig plate bore. The receiving bore must be machined to the appropriate press fit tolerance before installation. Once pressed in, this non-renewable bushing is not intended for removal or reuse. Power down all associated machinery and secure the workpiece before pressing the bushing into the fixture.
