The BONEHAM AM00000126 is a press fit headless drill bushing conforming to the HM industry code standard. It is designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Made from steel, this bushing installs flush with the jig plate surface, leaving no head above the workpiece face. The inside diameter measures 3.75 inches, the body outside diameter measures approximately 0.276 inches (7.00 mm), and the overall length is approximately 0.63 inches (16.00 mm). Machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators install this component during fixture setup on production or job-shop drilling operations.
This drill bushing is used in drill jigs and workholding fixtures where a flush, headless profile is required. The press fit installation method seats the bushing permanently into a prepared hole in the jig plate without the need for a retaining liner bushing. It is suited for applications where the bushing will not need to be replaced during the production run. Typical environments include metalworking shops, precision machining cells, and general manufacturing facilities where repeatable hole location accuracy is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for steel drill jigs and fixtures requiring an HM-series headless press fit bushing with a 3.75-inch inside diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists using a press or arbor press to seat the bushing into a precision-reamed hole in the jig plate. The receiving hole must be machined to the correct interference-fit tolerance for the bushing outside diameter before installation. Do not hammer the bushing in directly without a proper press arbor, as this can damage the bushing bore or distort the jig plate. Ensure the jig plate is secured and the bushing is started squarely before applying press force.
