The BARKSDALE ML1H-H203 is a local-mount temperature switch designed for industrial and commercial sensing applications. It operates across a range of 75 to 200 degrees F and uses a single set point SPDT contact form to trigger control circuits when a target temperature is reached or exceeded. The rigid stem measures 9/16 inches in diameter and approximately 2-25/32 inches in length, constructed of brass for durability in demanding environments. The switch connects via a 1/2 inch NPT fitting, making it compatible with standard industrial process ports. Licensed HVAC technicians, instrumentation techs, and industrial maintenance professionals are the primary installers of this device.
The ML1H-H203 is suited for a broad range of industrial applications including compressors, machine tools, factory automation systems, plastic machinery, process equipment, tanks and reservoirs, mining equipment, and oil and gas installations. Its local-mount design allows the switch to be positioned directly at the sensing point without remote capillary tubing, simplifying installation in tight equipment layouts. It is appropriate for both new installations and retrofit replacements in industrial control panels and process skids.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install temperature switch for industrial process equipment, compressors, machine tools, tanks, and related systems requiring a rigid-stem local-mount SPDT switch with 1/2 inch NPT connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified instrumentation technician or licensed industrial electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements and local codes. De-energize all associated control circuits and isolate the process before removing or installing the switch. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the 1/2 inch NPT threads and tighten to fitting manufacturer specifications without over-torquing the brass stem assembly. Verify set point operation with a calibrated temperature source before returning the system to service.
