The BARKSDALE ML1H-H201 is a local-mount temperature switch designed for industrial and commercial control applications where reliable temperature-triggered switching is required. The switch monitors process or ambient temperature and activates a single set point SPDT contact when the setpoint is reached, making it suitable for alarm, shutdown, or process-control circuits. The operating range spans -50 to 75 degrees F, covering both sub-zero and moderate above-ambient conditions. The rigid stem measures 9/16 inches in diameter and approximately 2-25/32 inches in length, and the stem material is brass, providing durability in moderate-corrosion environments. Licensed electricians and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This temperature switch is built for local-mount installations where the sensing stem is inserted directly into a process line, tank wall, or duct through a 1/2 inch NPT threaded connection. The SPDT contact form supports both normally open and normally closed circuit configurations, giving installers flexibility for control or alarm wiring. The -50 to 75 degrees F range suits refrigeration equipment monitoring, cold storage, HVAC low-limit sensing, and light industrial process control. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of the mid-60 percent of full scale.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified instrumentation technician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize the control circuit and, where applicable, depressurize and isolate the process line before installing or removing the switch. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the process medium to the 1/2 inch NPT threads and hand-tighten before using a wrench to avoid over-stressing the brass stem. Verify setpoint and contact state with a multimeter before returning the system to service.
