The APRILAIRE 410 is a factory original, OEM replacement air filter rated MERV 11, designed for whole-house air purification systems. The deep-pleat, accordion-style media captures common airborne contaminants including dust, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, pet dander, and dust mites while maintaining low static pressure drop across the filter face. Sold as a 2-pack, the 410 ships flat for compact storage and installs without tools using the Aprilaire interlock rail system. This is a direct OEM part, not an aftermarket substitute. Licensed HVAC technicians and qualified service professionals are the typical installers, though the slide-in design makes filter changes straightforward for informed end users as well.
The 410 filter fits Aprilaire whole-house air purifier models 1410, 1610, 2410, 2416, 3410, and 4400. It can also fit the Aprilaire model 2400 air purifier after upgrading that unit with the 1413 rail kit. These systems are commonly installed in residential forced-air HVAC applications where whole-house filtration is preferred over point-of-use portable units. The nominal filter size of 16 inches x 25 inches x 4 inches positions this filter in the high-capacity media category, offering extended service intervals compared to standard 1-inch panel filters.
Fits Aprilaire whole-house air purifier models 1410, 1610, 2410, 2416, 3410, and 4400. Compatible with Aprilaire model 2400 after installation of the 1413 rail kit upgrade.
Filter replacement is typically performed by an HVAC technician or a trained service professional during scheduled preventive maintenance. Before replacing the filter, shut down the air handler or furnace at the system disconnect or thermostat to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the media during changeover. Slide the used filter out along the interlock rails, insert the new filter flat end first until it seats fully, and close the cabinet door before restoring power. Dispose of the used filter in accordance with local waste guidelines, particularly in environments with high allergen or mold loading.
