Built to T-A series specifications with a Seat Size 1 designation, this insert features a 132-degree point angle and a TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) PVD coating that reduces heat buildup and extends tool life in demanding cutting applications. At 0.1563 inches thick and engineered to cut a 51/64-inch diameter hole, this insert delivers consistent performance on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines used in metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing. It carries a C5 (P40) carbide grade rating suitable for interrupted and continuous cuts in ferrous materials.
This insert is intended for use in steel and hard material machining environments, including general-purpose production work and job-shop applications where consistent bore diameter and surface finish are required. The T-A series spade drill system is widely used in industrial metalworking operations. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid edge chipping prior to use.
