The ACCUPRO A-6200160R is a miniature solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. It features a 1.6 mm cutting diameter (0.0630 inch) and a 140-degree standard point angle for accurate entry and reduced walking on hard or smooth surfaces. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the carbide substrate exposed for direct contact with the workpiece. Overall length is 50 mm with a 11.5 mm flute length, and the 3 mm straight-cylindrical shank seats cleanly in standard collets and chucks. This bit is suited for machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators working on small-diameter hole requirements.
This micro drill bit is built for high-precision drilling in materials where small hole diameters and tight tolerances are required. Typical applications include printed circuit board fabrication, instrument components, small mechanical assemblies, and fine metalwork. The regular spiral flute promotes chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes. Right-hand cut geometry pairs with standard right-hand rotation spindles on CNC machining centers, benchtop drill presses, and precision hand drills. The miniature series designation indicates this bit is engineered for controlled-feed, low-runout setups.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature drill bit for use in standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 3 mm straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with CNC machining centers and precision drill presses running right-hand rotation.
This bit should be installed and operated by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or chuck to minimize runout, which is critical at small diameters. Use appropriate feeds and speeds for solid carbide micro drills in the target material - excessive feed rate is the primary cause of micro drill breakage.
