The ACCUPRO 314516 is a 3-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 3/16 inch cutting diameter and a 5/8 inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tight geometries. The 37-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Micrograin carbide construction provides edge strength and wear resistance suited to high-speed CNC machining environments. The bright/uncoated finish makes this end mill well suited for aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpieces where coating adhesion can be a concern.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment where collet or end mill holders accept a 3/16 inch shank. Regular length geometry and a 2-1/2 inch overall length make it a practical choice for standard-depth pocket and profile work. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and CNC operators working in job shops, maintenance departments, and production environments will find this tool suited to general-purpose milling tasks requiring close tolerances.
Designed as a standard 3/16 inch shank square end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting 3/16 inch straight shanks on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated before tool changes. Verify collet size and holder bore match the 3/16 inch shank diameter before seating the tool, and confirm adequate shank engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use. Follow machine tool manufacturer specifications for feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
