The ACCUPRO 313711 is a single-end ball end mill designed for profiling, contouring, and 3D machining operations in a wide range of materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance well beyond high-speed steel alternatives. The cutting diameter measures 3/4 inches with a matching 3/4-inch shank diameter, and the length of cut reaches 3-1/4 inches — a long-reach configuration suited to deep-cavity and deep-slot applications. A 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds a hard, low-friction surface layer that extends tool life in non-ferrous metals, graphite, and abrasive composite materials. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, mold-and-die, and aerospace production environments.
This end mill is well suited for deep-pocket milling, sculpted surface finishing, and contour passes where extended reach is required. The long overall length of 6 inches allows access to features that standard-length tools cannot reach without interference. The 2-flute geometry provides chip clearance in softer materials and gummy alloys. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher surface speeds and feeds in aluminum, copper, plastics, and graphite. This tool is a single-end design, meaning one active cutting end per tool — standard for solid carbide end mills at this diameter and length specification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-specification solid carbide ball end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4-inch straight shank collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet or end mill holder rated for 3/4-inch shank tooling — do not overtighten, as this can distort the shank and affect runout. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after seating; excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces surface finish quality on the workpiece.
