The ACCUPRO 313031 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. The 0.25-inch mill diameter is paired with a 0.5-inch length of cut and a 45-degree helix angle, delivering aggressive chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in a wide range of materials. A zirconium nitride (ZrN) finish increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the toughness and wear resistance required for consistent performance in production environments. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance shops.
The 313031 is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunging cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Its centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining center spindles. The 0.25-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders commonly used on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for standard 1/4-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholding systems used on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill from its toolholder. Confirm collet or holder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable ANSI safety standards for rotating cutting tool installation and runout verification before beginning a cut.
