The ACCUPRO 12183870 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 6-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and improved surface finish at higher feed rates. A TiCN coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. At 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.5-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, this tool is sized for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pilot hole. Manufactured from micrograin carbide substrate for consistent edge integrity under load.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills with a 3/4-inch collet or end mill holder. It is suited for finish and semi-finish passes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The regular-length configuration makes it appropriate for cavity work, shoulder milling, and contour operations where reach requirements fall within the 1.5-inch to 2.0-inch length-of-cut range. Machinists in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments use this tool for both prototype and repeat-run applications.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for any 3/4-inch end mill holder, ER collet chuck, or hydraulic chuck accepting a 0.7500-inch shank diameter. Mill diameter tolerance is +0.000/-0.002 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the recommended gauge-line depth in the holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the collet or chuck bore for wear or contamination before seating the tool, as runout at the holder directly affects edge life and surface finish.
