The ACCUPRO 12183727 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding shop environments. With a 0.5 inch mill diameter, a 0.01 inch corner radius, and a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, this tool delivers wear resistance and edge retention on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher feed rates and improved surface finish compared to standard carbide grades. It is sold as a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this end mill when working on molds, dies, and close-tolerance profiling work.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual mills where an extra-long reach is required. The 1.5 inch length of cut (LOC) and 6 inch overall length (OAL) allow access to deep pockets and tall workpiece features without requiring a special extension. Right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral fluting make it compatible with conventional CNC spindle configurations. It is appropriate for roughing and finishing passes on steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials where TiCN coating provides a lubricity advantage.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter.
This tool is installed by machinists or toolroom personnel using a compatible collet or end mill holder sized for a 1/2 inch shank. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool in the holder; excessive runout accelerates wear and reduces surface finish quality. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures for cutting tool changes.
