The ACCUPRO 12177521 is a solid carbide tapered end mill engineered for precision milling applications requiring a controlled taper angle. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The square end geometry and 3-flute spiral configuration support clean side milling and finishing passes in tapered slots, draft pockets, and contoured workpiece features. With a 5-degree taper per side, a small end diameter of 3/32 inches, and a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, this end mill is sized for detailed work in tight geometries. Installation is performed by qualified machinists and CNC operators.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual milling operations where tapered wall geometry is required. Typical applications include mold and die work, tooling fabrication, and precision part production in job shop and production environments. The 5/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collet and end mill holders. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction makes it suitable for dry or flood-coolant cutting conditions across a wide range of workpiece materials. Right-hand flute direction matches standard spindle rotation on conventional and CNC knee mills and machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide tapered end mill compatible with standard 5/16 inch collet and end mill holding systems on CNC machining centers and conventional milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify collet or holder bore matches the 5/16 inch shank diameter before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage prior to each use, and confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a cut.
