The ACCUPRO 12177467 is a solid carbide tapered end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding cutting operations. It features a 1.5-degree taper angle per side with a 3/32 inch small end diameter and a 1 inch length of cut. The right-hand, spiral flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation. With three flutes and centercutting capability, it handles both plunging and profiling tasks. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This tapered end mill is suited for contour milling, die and mold work, and slot milling where a small-diameter tapered profile is required. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction makes it appropriate for non-ferrous metals, aluminum, and certain steel alloys at appropriate feeds and speeds. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The 2-1/2 inch overall length provides clearance for moderate-depth features without excessive overhang.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 3/16 inch shank tapered end mill applications in collet chucks and end mill holders on vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and machine in an appropriate locked-out state per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the 3/16 inch shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the tool holder before operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to prevent premature tool wear or breakage. Consult the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for the specific workpiece material.
