The ACCUPRO 12177431 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It measures 1 inch in diameter with a 2 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length, making it well-suited for full-depth slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. The 6-flute, 45-degree helix spiral design promotes efficient chip evacuation and delivers a smooth finish at higher feed rates. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cutting applications. This is an uncoated, centercutting tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where tight tolerances and repeatable performance are required. It is appropriate for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel alloys, cast iron, and aluminum, depending on speeds and feeds selected by the operator. The 1 inch shank diameter provides a rigid fit in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance machine shops are the primary installers and users of this tool.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation square end mill for standard 1 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the recommended insertion depth in the tool holder and torque set screws or collet nuts according to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to confirm proper seating and avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
