The ACCUPRO 12177350 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 2 mm cutting diameter, a 2 mm length of cut, and a 0.2 mm corner radius that produces smooth, radiused edges while reducing stress concentrations at part corners. The tool is coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), which extends tool life in high-heat applications including dry and semi-dry cutting of hardened steels, stainless steels, and titanium alloys. With a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flute geometry, this end mill provides efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual milling applications.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a radiused corner is required for part geometry or fatigue resistance. The 6 mm shank diameter and 57 mm overall length make it compatible with standard ER and straight-bore collet systems. The extended reach design, with a 30 mm reach length, allows access to deeper features and pockets without interference from the shank. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into a workpiece. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace components, and precision part production in job shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard production tooling for CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 6 mm straight shank via ER collet or equivalent tool-holding systems.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully powered down and the control in an estop or locked-out state per applicable machine guarding and OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 6 mm shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut to the tool-holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before use, as carbide tooling is brittle and sensitive to improper handling. Follow your facility's speeds-and-feeds guidelines and use appropriate cutting fluid or air blast for the workpiece material being machined.
