The ACCUPRO 12177331 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1 mm cutting diameter and a 0.10 mm corner radius, it produces controlled edge breaks and smooth contoured profiles in a single pass. The two-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in tight-tolerance work. Micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and rigidity at small diameters. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into a workpiece. Machinists and CNC programmers working on precision components, die work, or finishing passes will find this tool well suited to the task.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, high-speed spindles, and manual mills equipped with appropriate collet toolholding for a 6 mm shank. The extended reach design, with a 20 mm reach length and 57 mm overall length, allows access to recessed features, deep pockets, and contoured surfaces where standard-length tools cannot reach. It is appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a bright, uncoated carbide edge performs well, including aluminum, brass, and softer steels. Typical applications include mold and die machining, aerospace component finishing, and fine detail work on small precision parts.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with collet toolholding systems accepting a 6 mm shank diameter. Suitable for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in die, mold, and component finishing applications.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder matched to the 6 mm shank diameter to ensure accurate runout and secure clamping. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before seating the tool. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut when running small-diameter carbide tooling.
