The ACCUPRO 12177251 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding machining applications. With a 2.00 mm diameter and a 5.00 mm length of cut, this two-flute tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter applications. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers the hardness and edge retention required for milling hardened materials and fine detail features. At 57.00 mm overall length with a 6.00 mm shank diameter, this is a long-reach configuration suited for accessing recessed features or deep pockets without tool interference. Machinists and CNC programmers working in tool-and-die, mold making, and precision component manufacturing are the primary users.
This ball end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where small-diameter, high-precision profiling or contouring is required. The extended reach geometry, with a 20.00 mm reach length and a reduced neck diameter of 1.45 mm, allows the tool to reach into cavities while minimizing deflection. The bright uncoated finish makes it suitable for a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where coating is not required. Right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flutes are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 6.00 mm straight shank end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing the tool. Secure the 6.00 mm shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the torque specification recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning any cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on this small-diameter tool.
