The ACCUPRO 12176908 is a single-end corner radius end mill manufactured from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) for extended tool life in demanding cutting applications. The cutter measures 0.0781 inches in diameter with a 0.01-inch corner radius and runs four right-hand spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness, making this end mill well suited for high-speed dry or near-dry machining of ferrous and hardened materials. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary users.
This end mill is designed for precision profiling, slotting, and contouring operations in machining centers and CNC mills. Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state. Seat the 0.125-inch shank fully into the toolholder and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification — do not rely on hand-tight alone at this diameter. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts, as runout beyond 0.0002 inches at this cutter diameter significantly accelerates wear.
