The ACCUPRO 12176885 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. With a 0.0469-inch cutting diameter and a 0.015-inch corner radius, this tool produces smooth, radiused inside corners while reducing stress concentrations in finished parts. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design provides efficient chip evacuation and a stable cut. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank diameter, this end mill is sized for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production and prototype environments.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight tolerances and corner geometry are critical. The micrograin carbide substrate supports high-speed cutting with minimal deflection. The bright, uncoated finish makes it appropriate for applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern, such as certain aluminum or non-ferrous alloys. Single-end construction and centercutting capability allow it to be plunged directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled entry hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool compatible with milling machines and machining centers accepting a 1/8-inch round shank collet or tool holder.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing the tool. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier recommendations for feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut based on workpiece material - do not exceed the tool diameter in axial depth without confirming rigidity of the setup.
