The ACCUPRO 12176876 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a controlled edge radius and tight dimensional tolerances. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end, center-cutting tool features four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The cutting diameter measures 0.0313 inches with a corner radius of 0.015 inches, making it well suited for producing smooth, radiused transitions at the base of pockets and shoulders. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous metals and other materials where coating interaction is a concern. Machinists and toolroom operators rely on this geometry for fine detail work at small diameters.
This end mill is used in CNC milling and toolroom machining applications where small-diameter, close-tolerance profiling or pocketing is required. The center-cutting design allows direct plunge entry, adding flexibility to contouring and ramping operations. Its compact shank and short length of cut make it particularly effective in high-speed finishing passes on aluminum, brass, plastics, and similar workpiece materials. It is sold individually and is appropriate for production or prototype work demanding consistent radius control.
Designed as a standard shank end mill compatible with 1/8-inch collets and matching tool holders used in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindles configured for small-diameter carbide tooling.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use; carbide at this diameter is brittle and sensitive to handling damage. Confirm runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before committing to a finish pass.
