The ACCUPRO 12176840 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers heat resistance and wear life in high-speed and dry cutting conditions. The tool features a 1 inch mill diameter, a 1.75 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the edge of milled features. With a 40-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flutes, it is suited for machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace alloys, hardened steels, and stainless materials.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers for peripheral and slot milling operations where a radiused corner is required to meet part geometry tolerances or to improve tool life at sharp transitions. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding flexibility in pocketing and contour operations. It is appropriate for production and job-shop environments running ferrous and non-ferrous metals at elevated cutting speeds. The 1 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and CAT/BT/HSK toolholders sized for 1 inch bores.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with 1 inch bore toolholders. Suitable for milling ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys where an AlTiN coating and corner radius geometry are specified.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the 1 inch shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout will reduce tool life and surface finish quality.
