The ACCUPRO 12176829 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard material applications. It features a 1-inch mill diameter with a 1/8-inch (0.1250 inch) corner radius, producing consistent radiused edges on workpiece profiles. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating adds surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This single-end, centercutting tool is suitable for plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. Machinists and toolroom professionals working with CNC mills and manual vertical mills will find this end mill well-suited for production and close-tolerance work.
This end mill is intended for use in machining centers, vertical mills, and CNC milling applications where a radiused corner profile is required on part features such as pockets, slots, and contoured surfaces. The 1-3/4-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length make it appropriate for moderate-depth cavity work and standard reach applications in job shop and production environments. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional milling equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for standard 1-inch shank collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Ensure the 1-inch shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the tool holder to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for chips or wear before each use. Follow speeds and feeds appropriate for TiCN-coated solid carbide tooling in the specific workpiece material being machined.
