The ACCUPRO 120670 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from submicron solid carbide, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for high-speed roughing passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool features three flutes with a variable pitch and integrated chipbreaker geometry that breaks up chips to reduce heat buildup and cutting forces. A 0.12-inch corner radius helps protect the cutting edge during heavy cuts. With a 3/4-inch diameter and 1.625-inch length of cut, this end mill is suited for operations requiring consistent depth and reliable tool life. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators in machine shops and production environments.
This end mill is appropriate for use in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills where roughing passes are required. The straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance allows direct clamping in ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, or end mill holders. The high helix, right-hand spiral flute configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation. It is well suited for roughing slots, pockets, and profiles in a single-end configuration. No coolant-through capability is present, so external flood or mist coolant is recommended for extended cuts.
Designed as a direct-fit roughing end mill for use in standard 3/4-inch straight-shank end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and hydraulic tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before inserting or removing the tool. Clean the shank and tool holder bore thoroughly before seating to maintain runout tolerances. Tighten the holder to the tool holder manufacturer's specified procedure — do not exceed holder torque limits. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts.
