The ACCUPRO 10443 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding shop and field applications. It measures 31/64 inches (0.4844 inches decimal) in diameter with an overall length of 4.75 inches and a flute length of 2.75 inches. The 150-degree drill point angle and three-flute spiral design promote efficient chip evacuation and consistent hole quality. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for solid carbide tooling and suits a wide range of workpiece materials. This bit is sized for machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and fabricators who require precision drilling at close to half-inch diameter.
This drill bit is suited for use in vertical mills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers where tight tolerances and clean entry are required. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper holes without excessive deflection. The straight cylindrical shank allows direct chuck or collet mounting. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and milling machine spindle rotation. Typical applications include precision hole making in metal fabrication, tooling, and maintenance repair operations where carbide outperforms high-speed steel in hardness and wear resistance.
Designed as a standard jobber length drill bit with a straight cylindrical shank, compatible with drill chucks and collets sized for 31/64-inch shanks on drill presses, vertical mills, and CNC machining centers. Conforms to ANSI specification designation.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople familiar with rotating cutting tools. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and power is disconnected before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck or collet. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable tolerance before drilling to protect carbide from fracture due to lateral loading. Follow applicable shop safety standards for eye protection and workpiece fixturing when operating drilling equipment.
