The ACCUPRO 10429 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in hard and abrasive materials. It features a 27/64 inch (0.4219 inch) diameter with a 150-degree standard point angle that reduces walking and improves entry accuracy. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating compatibility or re-sharpening is a priority. With a 3-flute spiral design and right-hand cutting direction, this bit delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth bore quality. Machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and metalworking tradespeople are the primary users of this type of tooling.
This drill bit fits jobber-length drilling applications across CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mill setups. It is suited for production drilling in hardened steels, cast iron, stainless, and other materials that demand carbide-grade tooling. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders. The flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD and a 2.5 inch flute length make it appropriate for moderate-depth holes in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It meets ANSI specification designation standards.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber-length drill bit with a straight cylindrical shank, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders sized for 27/64 inch shank diameter across CNC machining centers and drill press setups.
Installation and use of this tooling should be performed by qualified machinists or metalworking tradespeople familiar with carbide tooling handling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before cutting. Carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid lateral loading, interrupted cuts without proper setup, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting tooling.
