The ACCUPRO 10427 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. At 10.5 mm (0.4134 inches) in diameter, it features a 150-degree standard point angle and a 3-flute spiral configuration that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during the cut. The bright, uncoated finish preserves the as-ground carbide surface, making it well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, composites, and other materials where coating adhesion is unnecessary. With an overall length of 114 mm (4.49 inches) and a flute length of 64 mm (2.52 inches), this bit fits standard straight-shank chucks and is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand drilling operations. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and fabricators are the primary users.
This jobber-length drill bit is suited for production and maintenance machining environments where tight tolerances and clean entry holes are required. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate chip clearance for moderate-depth holes in a variety of workpiece materials. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard spindle rotation. The straight-cylindrical shank seats reliably in three-jaw chucks and collet holders without the need for specialized tooling adapters. It falls within the ANSI-specified drill bit size range of 10.00 mm to 12.50 mm and carries the UNSPSC code 23241634.
Designed as a direct-fit jobber-length drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual drilling equipment that accept a straight-cylindrical shank in the 10.00 mm to 12.50 mm diameter range per ANSI specification.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the straight shank fully into the chuck or collet and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run. Carbide is brittle — avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts beyond the material rating, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces, as chipping or fracture can result.
