The ACCUPRO 10415 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to letter U, equivalent to 0.3680 inches in decimal. It features a 150-degree drill point angle and a standard point geometry designed for precise entry and clean breakthrough. The bright, uncoated finish is suited for applications where coating buildup or heat transfer characteristics of coated tooling are a concern. With three spiral flutes in a regular helix and a straight cylindrical shank, this bit is a direct fit in standard drill chucks. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and skilled tradespeople working in production or maintenance environments are the typical end users.
This jobber-length drill bit is appropriate for drilling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where solid carbide tooling is specified for hardness, wear resistance, or tight tolerance requirements. The flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD and a 2.25-inch flute length support chip evacuation in moderate-depth holes. The overall length of 4.25 inches falls within the standard ANSI jobber-length range, making it compatible with benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld drill setups where straight-shank tooling is accepted.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit with a straight cylindrical shank conforming to ANSI specifications, compatible with drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand drills accepting straight-shank tooling in the 0.3500 to 0.4000 inch diameter range.
Installation of this drill bit is performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople with appropriate metalworking equipment. Secure the straight shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before beginning a cut. Power down and de-energize all equipment before changing tooling. Solid carbide is brittle compared to HSS — avoid lateral loading or using this bit as a pry point, as chipping or fracture can result.
