The ACCUPRO 10407 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining applications. Built from solid carbide throughout, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed when drilling hard or abrasive materials where high-speed steel tooling falls short. The 8.5 mm diameter cutting edge is ground to a 150-degree standard point angle, which reduces thrust force and improves centering on entry. With an overall length of 4.02 inches and a three-flute spiral configuration, this bit is suited for machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working with tight tolerances and consistent chip evacuation demands.
This drill bit is intended for use in machine tool applications including CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills where solid carbide tooling is specified. The right-hand cutting direction and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for use in materials and cutting environments where coating adhesion is not required or where the workpiece material reacts unfavorably with coated tools. It falls within the 8.00 to 9.00 mm drill bit size range and meets ANSI specification designation standards.
Designed as a standard jobber length drill bit with a straight cylindrical shank, suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and milling machines equipped with compatible drill chucks or collet holders sized for 8.5 mm shank tooling.
Solid carbide drill bits should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for chuck or collet torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle and workpiece are fully secured before initiating the drilling cycle. Do not use this bit in hand-held drilling applications, as solid carbide is brittle and susceptible to fracture under lateral loading or impact. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use and replace if edge integrity is compromised.
