The ACCUPRO 10379 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precise, high-performance drilling in metal, composite, and other hard materials. Built to ANSI specification, this 6 mm (0.2362 inch) diameter bit features a 150-degree drill point angle and a 3-flute spiral configuration that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright, uncoated carbide construction provides excellent hardness and rigidity. With an overall length of 3.27 inches (83 mm) and a flute length of 1.50 inches (38 mm), this bit suits typical jobber-length drilling applications where reach and stability are both required.
This drill bit is suited for use in machine shop, maintenance, and production environments where tight-tolerance hole quality is critical. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets found on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation. It is typically installed by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and industrial maintenance technicians requiring consistent performance in hard or abrasive workpiece materials.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit fitting any drill chuck or collet accepting a straight cylindrical shank in the 6 mm diameter range, conforming to ANSI specification.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tool operators familiar with proper speeds and feeds for carbide tooling. Ensure the drill chuck or collet is fully tightened and the workpiece is securely fixtured before beginning any drilling operation. Carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to chipping from side loads or interrupted cuts — avoid using solid carbide bits in handheld applications where lateral movement cannot be controlled. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and remove the bit from service at the first sign of chipping or edge wear.
