The ACCUPRO 10369 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge number 7, equivalent to 0.2010 inches in diameter. It features a 150-degree split-point tip, three spiral flutes, and a straight cylindrical shank. At 3.0 inches overall length with a 1.25-inch flute length, this bit is built for precision drilling in hard or abrasive materials where high-speed steel would wear prematurely. The bright uncoated finish allows for easy visual inspection of the cutting edges. Right-hand cutting direction follows standard convention. This bit is sold individually and suited for production and maintenance drilling applications requiring tight tolerances.
Wire gauge number 7 bits are commonly used in metalworking, machining, and general fabrication where fractional drill sizes do not land on the required hole diameter. The 0.2010-inch diameter falls within the 0.2000 to 0.2500-inch size range, making it appropriate for tapping pilot holes, clearance holes, and precision bores in steel, cast iron, stainless, and other hard substrates. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians working with CNC or manual drill presses and machining centers are the primary users. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate chip evacuation in through-hole and moderate-depth applications.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit with a straight cylindrical shank, compatible with conventional drill chucks and collet systems sized for 0.2010-inch shank diameters on drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual hand drills.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with cutting tool safety. Ensure the drill chuck or collet is properly tightened and the workpiece is securely fixtured before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the material being drilled to extend tool life, noting that this bit does not support coolant-through delivery. Inspect cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to edge damage if dropped or mishandled.
