The ACCUPRO 07074396 is a right-hand indexable external grooving toolholder designed for precision grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to GMER style in the CI series, it accepts screw-clamped inserts at seat size 3, providing a secure, repeatable insert location during interrupted and continuous grooving cuts. The toolholder delivers a maximum depth of cut of 0.9853 inches and supports a minimum groove width of 0.1181 inches. The steel shank measures 1.0 inch in height and 6 inches in overall length. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production turning environments will find this holder suitable for external groove profiles on a range of workpiece diameters.
This toolholder is suited for external grooving applications on conventional and CNC turning centers where right-hand cutting orientation is required. It is commonly used to produce snap ring grooves, undercuts, and part-off relief grooves on shafts and round stock. The CI series GMER style is a recognized standard configuration in indexable turning tooling, making this holder a practical replacement or additional unit for shops running compatible grooving insert programs. Coolant-through capability is not included, so flood or mist coolant should be directed externally at the cutting zone.

Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the toolholder from the turret. Insert clamping screws should be tightened with the appropriate hex key to the insert manufacturer's recommended procedure — do not overtighten, as this can damage the insert seat.
