The ACCUPRO 07074099 is an indexable chamfer angle face mill designed for milling and chamfering operations on machining centers and manual mills. It accepts four indexable inserts of compatible insert size code 15 held in place by screws, and features a positive rake angle of 20 degrees with a 45-degree lead angle for efficient chip formation and reduced cutting forces. The right-hand cutting direction and coolant-through design support productive material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. With a minimum cutting diameter of 2 inches and a maximum cutting diameter of 2.5906 inches, this cutter is suited to medium-diameter face milling work requiring a chamfer profile.
This face mill is intended for use in production and job-shop environments where consistent chamfering and face milling are required in a single operation. The CI series designation and ADSM cutter style indicate compatibility with standard arbor-mount setups. It mounts via a 0.75-inch arbor hole with a keyway width of 0.321 inches, making it compatible with standard shell mill arbors used on vertical machining centers and knee mills. Machinists and CNC operators in metalworking trades are the primary installers and users of this tool.
Designed for use with compatible insert size code 15 indexable inserts on standard 0.75-inch arbor-mount shell mill holders. Consult the ACCUPRO CI series insert selection guide to confirm insert grade and geometry compatibility for your specific workpiece material.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the cutter from the arbor. Verify arbor pilot diameter, keyway alignment, and drawbar or retention bolt torque per the machine tool manufacturer specifications before operating. Inspect insert seats and screw threads for damage before indexing or replacing inserts.
