The SOUTHLAND 521-204HN is a black iron coupling designed to join two pipes of matching diameter in a secure, leak-resistant connection. This fitting is commonly used in systems carrying lubricating oil, grease, LP gas, and fuel. Constructed from black iron, it provides the durability and pressure tolerance required for non-potable fluid and gas transport in both residential and light commercial applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and gas technicians install this type of fitting as part of threaded iron pipe assemblies where a reliable mechanical joint is needed.
This coupling is suited for threaded black iron pipe systems in gas distribution, oil lubrication lines, and fuel supply applications. It is not rated for potable water service. The 3/4 inch size makes it a common choice for branch and main line connections in residential LP gas piping and small commercial fuel systems. It also sees use in custom fabrication and DIY trade projects involving iron pipe.
Designed as a standard threaded replacement or new-installation coupling for 3/4 inch black iron pipe systems used in gas, oil, and fuel transport applications.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters working on threaded black iron pipe systems. Shut off and depressurize the line fully before removing or installing any fitting. Apply appropriate pipe thread sealant rated for gas or fuel service to all male threads before assembly. Follow applicable local codes, including IFGC requirements, for gas piping installations.
