The RCD 4357 is a water solenoid valve designed to control water flow in heating and related fluid-handling systems. Solenoid valves use an electromagnetic coil to open or close a valve body, providing automatic on/off control without manual actuation. The 4357 is a direct-acting component suited for integration into hydronic, radiant heating, or similar RHTG (residential heating) applications. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers install this type of valve as part of zone control assemblies, boiler piping, or auxiliary water circuits where automated shutoff or flow regulation is required.
The 4357 is classified for residential heating (RHTG) applications. It is appropriate for systems that require electrically actuated water flow control, such as zone valves in hot-water baseboard systems, radiant floor heating loops, or boiler-feed circuits. Installation typically occurs during new system commissioning or as a drop-in service replacement when an existing solenoid valve has failed or is leaking.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement solenoid valve for residential heating water control applications.
Installation of this solenoid valve should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing the existing valve or making any connections. Verify that system voltage matches the valve coil rating before energizing. All piping work should comply with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where adopted.
