The MSA 10150222 is an ANSI Type I, Class E hard hat designed for industrial and construction environments where overhead impact protection and electrical hazard resistance are required. It features a 4-point ratchet suspension system that allows tool-free headband adjustment across a size range of 6-5/8 to 7-3/4. The shell is slotted for accessory attachment compatibility and carries no graphics. At 0.86 pounds, the hat balances durability with low fatigue during extended wear. It is non-vented, making it suitable for environments where airborne particles or electrical exposure are concerns. Installation and fit adjustment are handled by the end user or job-site safety personnel.
This hard hat is used across general construction, electrical work, utilities, and industrial maintenance applications. The Class E rating qualifies it for use in environments with exposure to high-voltage electrical conductors up to 20,000 volts per ANSI Z89.1 standards. The slotted brim allows attachment of compatible accessories such as face shields, ear muffs, and lamp brackets. It is suited for both residential and commercial job sites where ANSI Type I overhead impact protection is required by site safety programs or OSHA regulation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-issue hard hat for job sites requiring ANSI Type I Class E head protection. Slotted shell is compatible with MSA and other manufacturer accessories designed for slotted hard hat brim attachment.
Fit adjustment is performed by rotating the ratchet knob at the rear of the suspension until the headband seats snugly. Safety personnel or the end user should inspect the shell and suspension before each use for cracks, dents, or fraying. Hard hats should be replaced following any impact event, regardless of visible damage. Follow ANSI Z89.1 and applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1926.100 requirements for hard hat use on construction and general industry job sites.
