The KREG PRS250 is a flush trim router bit designed to trim edge banding, laminates, and solid wood flush with a substrate surface. It mounts in a standard router or router table and follows a bearing guide to produce a clean, flat cut that requires little to no sanding. At 0.217 pounds, it is a lightweight, single-piece cutting tool suited for cabinetmakers, finish carpenters, and millwork professionals who need consistent flush cuts during assembly and finishing operations.
The PRS250 is used in residential and light commercial woodworking applications where flush trimming of overhanging material is required. Common scenarios include trimming iron-on or adhesive edge banding on plywood and MDF cabinet parts, trimming solid wood edge banding, and cleaning up laminate overhangs on countertops or furniture panels. It is sold as an individual bit and fits standard router collets.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use flush trim bit compatible with standard router collet sizes typically found in handheld and table-mounted routers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified woodworker or finish carpenter with the router fully powered off and unplugged before inserting or removing the bit. Insert the shank fully into the collet and tighten according to the router manufacturer's torque guidance. Inspect the bearing and cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if the bearing spins unevenly or cutting edges show damage.
