The EWC CONTROLS ERSD-10 is a 10-inch round, single-blade motorized damper designed for zone control and air quality applications in ducted HVAC systems. Built from 24-gauge galvanized steel, it provides durable, corrosion-resistant performance in both residential and light commercial installations. The 24-volt motor actuator is direct-coupled to the drive shaft, eliminating the need for a separate linkage assembly. A double-layered blade with an integrated cellular foam gasket delivers a reliable seal in the closed position. A built-in travel limiter allows the damper to stop short of full closure when the application requires partial airflow.
The ERSD-10 is suited for forced-air zoning systems where individual room or zone control is required. It ships in a power-closed, spring-open configuration as standard, and can be field-reversed to power-open, spring-closed operation without additional hardware. Compatible with both flexible and rigid round ductwork, it fits into new construction and retrofit duct runs without modification. HVAC technicians typically install this damper as part of a multi-zone control system managed by a zone control board or thermostat controller.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation motorized round damper for 10-inch round duct systems in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC zoning applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Shut down the air handling unit and de-energize the control circuit before wiring or mounting the damper. The 2-wire, 24-volt motor connection should be made in accordance with the zone control board manufacturer's wiring diagram and applicable local mechanical codes. Verify the spring-return direction matches the fail-safe requirement of the zone design before securing the damper in the duct run.
