The DAKOTA SOURCING 13039 is a 45-degree copper elbow fitting designed for sweat-connect (C x C) copper tubing systems. With a 5/8-inch outside diameter and a 1/2-inch inside diameter, this fitting is sized for standard 1/2-inch nominal copper tubing. The 45-degree angle allows directional changes in refrigerant, water, or gas distribution lines where a gradual bend is required rather than a sharp 90-degree turn. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters use this type of fitting in both new construction and retrofit applications where copper piping is the specified material.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and refrigeration line sets. The C x C (copper-to-copper) sweat connection requires soldering both ends to the adjacent tubing sections. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, drain and supply line offsets, and HVAC refrigerant line routing where code and system design call for copper fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/2-inch nominal copper tubing systems using standard sweat (solder) connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC requirements where relevant. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux both the tubing end and fitting socket before applying heat, and allow the joint to cool completely before restoring flow or pressure. Do not force or overtighten the fitting during dry-fit — copper fittings rely on proper solder fill for joint integrity.
