The YG-1 85565TF is a 5-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, stainless steel, and related ferrous materials. Built to Series E5066 specifications, it features a 45-degree helix angle and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The mill diameter is 3/16 inches with a length of cut of 5/16 inches and an overall length of 2 inches. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators will find this tool well-suited for finish milling, slotting, and contouring operations in tough material applications.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and surface finish are priorities. Primary workpiece materials include steel and stainless steel. Secondary applications cover cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and super alloys including titanium. The straight cylindrical shank with a diameter of 3/16 inches fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders of the corresponding bore size. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting direction are compatible with standard spindle setups.
Designed for use with steel and stainless steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary compatibility for cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and super alloys including titanium. Fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders with a 3/16-inch bore.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Ensure the collet or holder bore matches the 3/16-inch shank diameter and that runout is checked before production cuts. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the 5/16-inch length of cut range. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for feed and speed parameters appropriate to the workpiece material and coating type.
