The YG-1 81593TF is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiAlN, this stub-length tool offers a 0.5-inch diameter, a 0.625-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length. The 5-flute geometry with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at higher feed rates. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. The Weldon flat shank ensures positive drive and reduced pullout risk in demanding setups. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC mill operators are the primary installers and users of this tool.
The 81593TF is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling applications where rigidity and tool life are priorities. Its stub length makes it appropriate for applications requiring maximum overhang reduction and vibration control. The TiAlN coating performs well in dry or minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL) environments, particularly in alloy steels, stainless steels, and cast iron. This tool is part of the YG-1 E5056 series and is intended for use on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers where spindle speeds and feed rates can be precisely controlled.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct selection for CNC machining centers accepting 0.5-inch shank end mills with a Weldon flat drive. Part of the YG-1 E5056 series.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a side-lock holder or end mill holder rated for the shank diameter before starting the spindle. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator after clamping. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type. This tool is not center-cutting; avoid plunge cuts directly into solid material.
