The YG-1 33565TF is a double-end, stub-length square end mill ground from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TiAlN coating. It carries four flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral at a 30-degree helix angle, producing clean, efficient chip evacuation during roughing and finishing passes. The 3/16-inch diameter and 2-inch overall length make it well suited for close-tolerance work in tight cavities. TiAlN coating raises surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life when cutting steel and stainless steel at elevated feed rates. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
The 33565TF is designed for cutting steel as its primary workpiece material, with rated secondary capability in stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The stub overall length reduces deflection and chatter in short-reach applications, making it a practical choice for die work, mold pocketing, and precision slot milling. The double-end configuration allows the operator to index to the second cutting end when the first shows wear, effectively extending usable tool life per unit. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for 3/16-inch diameter, 4-flute stub square end mills with a straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for use in standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and similar toolholding systems accepting a 3/16-inch straight shank.
Installation is performed by machining professionals using a compatible collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Confirm runout at the cutting end after installation to stay within the stated diameter tolerance of 0.0000 to -0.0012 inches. Because this end mill is not center-cutting, do not attempt direct plunge entry without a pilot hole or a programmed ramp or helical entry path.
